Our agency and our employees actively participate in numerous industry-specific organizations and associations.  As your business partners, we want not only to be your trusted surety expert, but also to understand the specifics of your industry. We serve on committees, teach classes, sponsor golf tournaments, and attend tradeshows to further our professional reach and to give back to the industries that we serve. Our long term relationships with numerous banks, CPAs, attorneys, and other business allies contribute to our clients’ successes, providing options and ideas that otherwise may have not occurred.

Gene Crawley established East Coast Surety Solutions in 2017. He and his employees are active members of the Tidewater community, donating time and resources whenever possible.

Gene Crawley

President & Founder

Gene graduated from the University of Virginia’s McIntire School of Commerce in 1996 with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Finance.

President of East Coast Surety Solutions, Gene has 20 years of bonding and financial experience within the construction industry. After 16 years as the Vice President of Surety for a local bond only agency, Gene decided to gain more extensive construction expertise and took on the role of Chief Financial Officer for a 40+ million dollar a year federal general contractor. The combination of bonding expertise and managing the financial obligations of a construction company gives Gene a UNIQUE perspective in providing surety bonds for his clients. His exceptional delivery of business analysis, workflow management, and process improvements guides clients in determining ideal solutions that will support future growth and development.

He has also served on the Chesapeake Board for Towne Bank in addition to serving 2 years on the Tidewater Community College Educational Foundation Board.

Jordan I. Hassani

Vice President & Co-Founder

As East Coast Surety Solution’s Vice President, Jordan I. Hassani seeks to support clients through effective communication and coordination. She has 16 years of business management experience within the construction industry, four (4) of which have been with Gene Crawley. Jordan’s organizational and planning skills surpass the most detailed professionals, and she has uncanny abilities in analyzing and solving problems. Prior to working with Gene, she served in multiple capacities, including ownership of a new franchise with a Hampton Roads’ damage restoration company.

When Jordan is not helping East Coast Surety clients, she puts her savvy business sense toward her young family’s highly praised restaurant, Baba’s Pizzeria in Chesapeake. She studied at Tidewater Community College before pursuing additional education in remediation, renovation, and restoration.

David Hodgson

Chief Information Officer

David joined East Coast Surety Solutions in November of 2019 as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) providing strategic oversight of the company’s information technology systems as well as financial analysis and client/surety account management. He graduated from Missouri State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in General Business. After an exciting 20-year career in the staffing industry, David left CorTech International to start a new career at East Coast Surety Solutions. As Vice President of CorTech, he oversaw the day to day operations of 12 branches across the United States and managed over 70 million in annual sales. His experience in contracts management, account management and information technology management make him an excellent addition to the team.

Outside of work, David is usually found hacking up the golf course or playing tennis.
